Square❒

A Comic by Mr.Fakeshit

1

Doing computer works, he sees a black dot on the screen, he thinks it’s dirty try to get rid of it, but it doesn’t go away.

2

When He looks at his hands he sees the dot on his hands, when he looks down he sees the dot on the table, it isn’t going anywhere but stays steadily at the center of the view.

3

He is walking home from work when he sees a message, “Hey is this G? This is Amie. It’s crazy I have seen you everyday but never talked to you. So there’s a party at George’s place and all colleagues will be there, let’s hang out and get to know each other!” He responds, “Sorry I have to do some errands, thanks for the invitation!”

4

Lying in the bed he sees the dot on the ceiling, only this time it’s bigger and seems more like a square. He closes his eyes trying to get some sleep but all he can see is white (not exactly the color white but the concept of white), with a super bright square hovering in the middle.

5

He goes to work after a terrible sleep, talks about it with the doorman, his only friend in the company. “I am seeing this black thing these days. I can even see it on your face right now, I don’t know what it is, it’s frustrating!” “It must be like these ghost worms in your eyes, I’m sure it’s harmless. Get some eye drops, you will feel better.”

6

He is late for work, the angry boss yells at him and demands all the work to be done by the end of the day. He looks at one of these papers, turns it over, trying to focus on the square. That is the first time he realizes what the square is.

7

Each day the “square” appears bigger and it keeps spinning slowly.

8

Eyes shut and open. He holds it in his hands and asks, “what are you?” It doesn’t answer but keeps spinning.

9

He dreams about many of these figures, they raise heads and smile at him. He wakes up and sees the figure overlapping with his own reflection in the mirror.

10

He calls in sick at work and the boss threatens to fire him. The figure is getting bigger and bigger, he can see the pores on its face, it’s so close but he can’t actually touch it.

11

The figure companies him anywhere he goes. Time passes with it never stops growing. Eventually, he can only see its forehead with a black square on it, it's so bright it devours everything.

12

He screams and sits up, realizing the dot/square/figure, whatever it is, is gone. “It was just a nightmare…” With reliefs he notices strange lights coming from outside the window, he looks out.

13

He realizes he is in its head, he tries to get attention but no one can hear him. “I can escape this. I need to take back my life, this is my life.” He climbs up the window, the next thing he feels is the wind and the gravity.

14

He realizes what is happening while he is falling, with a smile on his face he curls up his body and gently starts spinning, every now and then he can see a figure from a very far distance.
